Kris and Tara have known each other for over 20 years. If you had told them back then that they would be running a business together, they probably would have laughed.

Kris built his career in tax strategy as a lifelong accountant, while Tara focused on becoming a CFO in the private and nonprofit sectors. Their careers took different paths, but their shared drive and attention to detail stayed the same. Instead of clashing, those traits complement each other perfectly, creating a dynamic and grounded partnership.

After two decades apart, they reconnected, and it felt like no time had passed. Sharing the same values, strengths, and vision, they launched Seaside Strategies, a firm dedicated to providing thoughtful and comprehensive tax and accounting solutions. Together, they combine experience and perspective to deliver results beyond the numbers.

Outside of work, Kris is either perfecting his golf game or relaxing on the beaches of OBX, North Carolina. His daughter follows in his footsteps as an accounting student at UVA, Class of 2029.

Tara is always on the move. She spends her time chasing her two boys, running along the coast, tackling fitness challenges, or planning her next real estate project. She brings the same energy and creativity to her work.

After a few pivotal life moments, Kris and Tara made a promise—no more excuses. Travel more, live more, and enjoy the freedom they’ve earned. That mindset drives everything they do at Seaside Strategies: work hard, play harder.
